ABERDEEN
CHARLIE Mulgrew believes the Aberdeen support expects to win the Champions League. No Charlie, we just expect not to be humiliated on our own turf or to lose to lower league opponents in the cup quite so frequently.
We don’t even expect to be third in the SPL. A cup would be nice but that’s a desire, not an expectation. Charlie is the one detached from reality, not surprising when such an average player is rewarded so well financially. He’ll depart this summer, having achieved absolutely nothing, expecting a sizeable pay rise.
Scott Severin was infamously "bored" of the SPL and headed for the big bucks of Watford, and he’s already back in Scotland at a smaller, struggling club - Mulgrew could learn from his former captain’s illusions of grandeur. The Red Army will be delighted when McGhee replaces these prima donnas with men willing to fight for the club this summer.
