ABERDEEN
From 0-9 to 6-0 in two months - it should not be underestimated what a turnaround the new management team has brought in the Dons' fortunes. Unbeaten for a month, and our forward line of Vernon and Maguire on fire with four goals apiece in four games, plus our defence transformed from a holey Swiss cheese into a hearty Cheddar - solid and reliable enough, if still having the potential to crumble.
However the turnaround should not be overestimated either. We've only played teams around us in the bottom half of the SPL, and on Saturday hammered what one of the Aberdeen-Mad forum users unkindly (but fairly accurately) described as "East Fife - the worst team to visit Pittodrie in recent years". The real test is still to come, but Craig Brown is undoubtedly aware of this as he has been keeping admirably canny in the face of growing supporter enthusiasm.
