ABERDEEN
This time last week I was complaining, with tongue firmly in cheek, of boredom at the increasing regularity of Aberdeen's revival under Craig Brown. Oh how the last short week has made me look like an idiot! Two trips down the A90 later and suddenly Aberdeen's SPL season has ground to a halt, with the top six now all but unreachable thanks to two crushingly inept, error-riddled performances against St Johnstone and Dundee Utd.
It can be no coincidence that the increasingly-important Chris Maguire missed those two games - something that was underlined by his former Scotland Under-21 strike partner David Goodwillie giving our defence a torrid time on Monday with exactly the Maguire-esque directness and swagger that our frontline was missing. That Bebo will be back for the Scottish Cup tie on Saturday is crucial, as that is all we have to play for now.
