ABERDEEN
Cup magic, or the romance of the cup - logic-defying knock-out competitions, where it's 11 versus 11, anything can happen in 90 minutes and clichés are king. Aberdeen had confidence and a string of decent results behind us going into the CIS cup semi against the SFA's XI, yet we were dismantled within a half-hour. Now we face the same team in the Scottish Cup semi with one win in eight and half the squad ripped out through long-term injury, so obviously we are going win.
You think this is mental? Well, if fitba was logical then half of us wouldn't bother getting out of bed on a Saturday and we'd all be millionaires from doing our fixed-odds coupons. So come on illogical cup magic - help the Dons to victory on Sunday and take us to Hampden in May.
