ABERDEEN
It's fantastic to see the Dons' forward players playing with the spirit and freedom - and skill - that Chris Maguire and Sone Aluko did on Saturday. They genuinely terrorised an admittedly nebulous Hibs rearguard. It's a shame more paying punters weren't there to see it, but that equation is simple: more performances and results like that, and the crowds will swell.
There are still issues with our own back line, who offer the protection of meringue Armco, and every fan knows that we will certainly concede at least one goal every game, and this will be a problem every time our forwards cannot score more at the other end.
So McGhee's contention that we should judge him once our key players return to fitness has been validated so far, but can we do a Kevin Keegan's Newcastle and win every game 4-3? I will love it...
