ABERDEEN prodigy Fraser Fyvie captained the Scotland Under-17s to a cruel last-minute defeat to Cyprus at East End Park last night.
Fyvie, who has become a Dons first-team regular under new boss Mark McGhee this season despite being only 16 years old, saw his team beaten with a late goal in Dunfermline.
With the game level at 1-1 after Callum McGregor scored for the Scots, Cyprus scored in the final minute to give the them a 2-1 win.
Scotland's next game in the qualifying tournament is against Georgia at Starks Park on Thursday, and they will face Portugal on Sunday also at Raith Rovers' ground in Kirkaldy.
