Andy Considine celebrated his return to full fitness by grabbing a late winner for an experienced Dons reserves side last night.

Sandy Clark's charges came from 1-0 down to beat Inverness Caley Thistle 2-1 at the Caledonian Stadium and keep the pressure on Celtic at the top of the SPL reserve league.

The team featured first-teamers Ricky Foster, Danny Griffin, Kyle Macaulay, Darren Mackie and Neil MacFarlane as well as Considine.

Each of these players will have been hoping to impress the watching management team with the Top 6 decider against Hibs rapidly approaching.

Two Aberdonians combined to give the home side the interval lead with ex-Don Rory McAllister releasing Liam Keogh to score in the 22nd minute.

Twelve minutes after the break the Dons levelled when a Foster pass over the top found last season's top scorer Darren Mackie who beat the Caley keeper with a low shot.

With minutes to go, Sunday's Youth Cup hero Chris Maguire found Mackie at the near post from a corner and he nodded the ball to Considine to head home from close range.

The vital win kept the Dons in the hunt for the reserve league title, three points behind leaders Celtic with a game in hand.

Celtic kept the pressure on the Dons and increased their already healthy goal difference advantage with a 4-2 win over third-placed Hearts.
