ABERDEEN has today confirmed that young left-back Stuart Smith has left Pittodrie to join Peterhead.
The player has signed an 18 month deal with Neale Cooper's side after impressing while on loan at Balmoor recently and for part of last season.
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood was reluctant to let the defender leave but has Charlie Mulgrew, Richard Foster and Lee Mair all able to play at left back.
The Dons also have young prospect Stirling Smith coming through, who has been involved in the Scotland U19 get-togethers and is prized by Aberdeen Youth Academy Assistant Director Neil Simpson.
