Aberdeen forward Jamie Smith returns to the international scene after a two-year absence.

The forward has scored 6 goals for the Dons this season including some spectacular strikes against Caley Thistle, Falkirk and Rangers.

He joins Scotland squad regulars Ryan Esson and Russell Anderson in the 22-man player list.

Smith gained his previous two caps whilst with Celtic in 2003. He also featured for the Scotland Future side during his one-year spell with Den Haag before joining the Dons.

Scotland manager Walter Smith told BBC Scotland: "He has played in a couple of fringe games during his time in Holland and done very well in both games."

"He has started pretty well at Aberdeen and he is one of those players who can dribble and take players on.

"We don't have an abundance of that type of player so I want to see what he can do."
