ABERDEEN captain Scott Severin has admitted it might be the end of the season before he decides whether to sign a new deal at the club.
The 28-year-old is in no rush to commit his future to Pittodrie, with his current contract set to expire in the summer.
But the Scotland midfielder has urged fans not to believe what they read in the local newspapers if they suggest he is definitely off.
He said: "There are a lot of rumours circulating that I'm definitely leaving but that's not true.
"We are still in negotiations, but [Dons legend and Director of Football] Willie Miller hasn't placed any timescale on talks.
"We still have three or four months of the season to go, so if the talks take up until the end of that, so be it."
