Severin Out Of South Africa Trip

VERSATILE midfield lynchpin Scott Severin will miss the Dons pre-season tour of South Africa because he requires knee surgery.

Severin, voted Aberdeen-Mad Player of the Year in 2005, may also miss the start of the new season.

However he was already ruled out of the opener against Hibs due to suspension.

Jimmy Calderwood told RedWeb: "Severin won't be travelling to South Africa as he needs to get a minor clean up op and will be out for two to three weeks."

Severin has missed large chunks of each of his two seasons with the Dons due to injury, and these have coincided with a run of poor form by the team.
