DONS defender Maurice Ross could have played his last game for Aberdeen.
The on-loan right-back suffered a hamstring injury in the Dons defeat to Hamilton, and is waiting upon the result of a scan to see how bad the damage is.
However there is a fear that the player will be sidelined until late January, and with his contract up on the 24th that could mean he has played his last game for the club.
Ross was adamant that he wanted to continue his career in Europe after his spell at Pittodrie, so only signed a short-term deal.
And Dons boss Mark McGhee said: "There is a worry he could be out for six weeks if it is a hamstring injury."
McGhee is currently short of right-back cover with Ricky Foster currently covering at centre-back, and utility player Stuart Duff on loan at Inverness Caley Thistle.
