SCOTLAND international right-back Maurice Ross has put pen to paper on a short-term deal at Pittodrie.
The 28-year-old defender impressed Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee while training with the Dons last week.
And now the canny Dons gaffer has snapped up the experienced full-back to provide much-needed defensive cover for the team.
In recent weeks the Dons have had a defensive crisis following injuries to Zander Diamond, Davide Grassi and Jerel Ifil.
Former Hun Ross, who has been capped 13 times, was a free agent having been released by Turkish club Kocaelispor in the summer.
On leaving Unsurpassed Dignity FC in 2005, Ross had spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves and Millwall, joining Viking Stavanger in 2007 before heading to Turkey.
McGhee said last week: "He came for a week to train and he has done really well and I'll be speaking with him on Monday about staying a bit longer.
"We've a view to signing him until Christmas or the end of the season. I feel he would be a good addition."
