NEW Dons boss Mark McGhee has named one of the players on trial with AFC at their training camp in Obertraun, Austria.
Beninian central defender Reda Johnson is one of the three trialists currently training with the Dons squad.
Left-footed 21-year-old Johnson, who is 6'4" tall, plays for French Ligue 2 side Amiens SC.
Boss McGhee has so far liked what he's seen of the big French-born player, but will have a closer inspection in the pre-season friendly against 1860 Munich on Saturday after receiving permission from his club for him to play in the game.
McGhee said: "We have been impressed with him so far and we have been encouraged to explore what it will take to bring him to our club.
"I have received an from email from his agent so dialogue has started, but we will not push the button on anything until after we have seen him in action."
The club are still trying to gain permission for the other two trialists, Jakub Dziolka and Marcus Steegmann, to play on Saturday.
