Real Scottish People's League Week 17
Motherwell continued their charge to the inaugural Real SPL title in fortuitous fashion, as their Friday evening fixture at Fir Park was abandoned while they were losing 1-0. Hibs will feel aggrieved as they now have to replay a game they were winning because the leaders' stadium is a disgraceful run-down shack which has no place in this shiny new league.
St Johnstone closed the gap at the top to eight points with an excellent 2-1 away win at Tynecastle. Hearts boss Paulo Sergio will be feeling the heat as notoriously trigger-happy but currently-reluctant Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov is not a man with much patience.
Inverness Caley Thistle leapt off the foot of the RSPL and up to seventh place thanks to a combination of a hard-fought victory at St Mirren, Hibs' abandoned game, and Aberdeen's timid defeat to Killie, who themselves joined the European place-chasing pack on 18 points.
