Real Scottish People's League Week 27

Week 27 of the inaugural Real SPL could be the week that Motherwell look back on at the end of the season as the set of fixtures that all-but sealed their first title.

The Lanarkshire side demolished closest challengers Hearts 3-0 at home, and with every other match in the division a draw, this ensured that 'Well stretched their lead at the top to 13 points - a surely-unassailable lead. The Fir Park club even had to play over half an hour with only 10 men, but still easily won the game - they even scored their third goal while a man short.

Of the other games, the only club who will be happy with their draw will be Dunfermline whose home point takes them off the bottom of the division leaving hapless Hibs propping up the table.

St Mirren were the only other movers in the RSPL, overtaking Kilmarnock thanks to their dire 0-0 draw at Tannadice, and the turgid affair on offer was 'bettered' in Sunday's live TV match at Pittodrie where Aberdeen and St Johnstone sent all viewers to sleep in a goalless draw during which absolutely nothing of note happened.
