ABERDEEN have reportedly taken Dutch defender Quido Lanzaat on trial.
The 28-year-old player, who can slot in at centre-half or right-back, currently plays for Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia after signing for them on a free transfer from German side MSV Duisburg last summer.
Amsterdam-born 6ft 1in Lanzaat is a product of the Ajax football academy. With Ajax, he played in the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League and was capped for his country at youth and under-21 level.
He moved to Germany in 2000 to play for Borussia Mönchengladbach but in 2002 he switched to Alemannia Aachen and then in 2004 to TSV 1860 München before moving to Duisburg.
As a Borussia Mönchengladbach player, Lanzaat was banned for three months after testing positive for THC which is found in (good) cannabis. Top man.
