ABERDEEN boss Mark McGhee is thought to be interested in signing Falkirk's Darren Barr.
McGhee is keen to add to a defence that has been ravaged by injury and suspension this season, and may see Bairns captain Barr as an experienced addition to his squad.
The 25-year-old centre-back's contract with Falkirk expires in the summer, meaning he is free to talk to other clubs this month.
But the BBC is reporting that McGhee will face competition from Hibs for the Scotland squad regular, who won his only Scotland cap under George Burley in a friendly against Northern Ireland.
But the Dons could be aided by apparent interest from Falkirk in midfielder Gary McDonald, who is also out of contract in the summer.
