DONS winger Jeffrey de Visscher is set to return to his home country Holland today, to sign for Eerste Divisie side SC Cambuur Leeuwarden.
The 27-year-old will sign six-month contract at Leeuwarden with the option of a two-year extension.
De Visscher had recently come into some form at the Dons, with many fans believing recent performances to be his best at the club.
But the midfielder was relegated to the bench for the recent home double-header with the Old Firm, replaced by fit-again Stuart Duff.
And De Visscher, who only started 24 matches for Aberdeen in the last 18 months, scoring three goals, has only six months remaining on his contract with the Dons.
Cambuur manager Stanley Menzo said: "Jeffrey is a player with qualities.
"He can play on the left or the right which makes him an attractive proposition for Cambuur.
"He has not been playing regularly in Scotland which has made it hard for him to settle there, but he can be an important player for us."
