ABERDEEN boss Jimmy Calderwood feels that Aberdeen will keep hold of in-form striker Lee Miller in the January transfer window - and beyond.
Scotland international Miller, thought to valued in the region of £2m, fired a superb double against Kilmarnock to help the Dons leapfrog Hearts into the SPL fourth spot last night.
The 25-year-old has made headlines scoring seven goals in seven games and scooping the December player of the month gong.
And with back-to-back games against the Old Firm next on the agenda for the Dons, there is highly likely to be shenanigans from both Glasgow clubs in the press for the next two weeks designed to unsettle the big forward.
Former Dons hero Eoin Jess was frequently linked with a move to Glasgow by the OF's media mates in the build-up to games against Rangers, and in recent years Russell Anderson and Zander Diamond have been victims of similar attempts to unsettle them prior to Celtic games.
But Calderwood thinks his star hitman is above the Old Firm's nonsense, and is likely to see out his contract at Pittodrie.
Calderwood said: "Maybe I shouldn't be saying this until February 1 but I've got to be honest, he's a great player.
"You are always worried about (losing good players).
"You never know in this game but I would think he'll still be at Aberdeen right to the end of the season and hopefully a bit longer."
