ABERDEEN boss Mark McGhee has ended his interest in midfielder Lee Hendrie and defender Robbie Williams.
McGhee turned his attention from Hendrie to Paul Hartley once it became apparent the Scotland midfielder was interested in a move to Pittodrie.
Former Huddersfield Town full-back Williams was also on McGhee's radar, but the gaffer is now set to offer former Charlton defender Grant Basey a deal.
Basey, a Wales Under-21 international who had a loan spell with Brentford in 2007, made 22 appearances for League One outfit Charlton last season.
