ABERDEEN have snapped up Italian Davide Grassi on a one-year deal subject to a medical after the player impressed on trial.
Grassi, 23, can play as a left back or in central defence and will provide much-needed cover for the Dons' back line.
He progressed through the ranks at hometown club Parma before spells in the Spanish second division with Merida and Sant Andreu.
And the player recently spent some time on trial at Bournemouth AFC before being let go.
Grassi joins Stuart Nelson and Jerel Ifil as new Dons additions this summer as part of the Mark McGhee revolution, and the new boss expects two more additions to his squad in the coming week.
McGhee said: "We've already signed the lad Davide Grassi and we hope to introduce him as quickly as possible.
"And we hope there's going to be at least two more before next week."
