The Dons have already signed midfielder Gary McDonald and are finalising Irish starlet Sammy Stewart's £15,000's move from Glenavon.
Last week, 6'7" former Lens goalkeeper Betrand Bossu came on trial to Pittodrie and impressed Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood.
The 27-year-old is now set to sign a two-year deal with the club in the coming days after agreeing terms last week.
And the fourth new player is due to arrive this week in the shape of former Motherwell forward Richie Foran.
The 26-year-old Irishman is set to complete a £50,000 move from Southend once he completes a medical this week.
Foran scored 34 goals in 106 appearances for the Steelmen despite playing many games wide on the left.
The Dons are also looking to tie up Stuart Duff and Alan Maybury this week, after successfully persuading top goalscorer Lee Miller to remain at Pittodrie.
And it is thought that former Celtic wing-back Charlie Mulgrew is a target for Calderwood, with a decision whether to move for the player to be made in the next few days.
However despite Rangers striker Kris Boyd declaring that he may have to leave the Mordor-based club in order to get more first-team football, it is not thought that Aberdeen will be following up their interest in the player from May 2005.
Despite the club's commendably quick moves into the transfer market to replace the vast number of players moving through the Pittodrie exit, the Dons fans will be keen to see an inspirational signing added to the list before the start of next season.
Indeed, many will be holding off buying season tickets until a 'big-name' transfer has been completed.
And it is notable that there has yet to be a move for an experienced central defender - surely a priority after numerous heavy defeats during the season just passed.
