ABERDEEN have taken midfielder Ruaidhri Higgins on trial after the Irishman's contract with Derry City was terminated by the Irish FA.
Higgins, 25, was made a free agent along with every other Derry player after the club was put into administration and expelled from the League of Ireland for breaking contractual rules.
Higgins is now searching for a new contract and will be desperate to impress Dons boss Mark McGhee after going three months without being paid by his crisis-hit former club.
