ABERDEEN loanee, Manchester City midfielder Paul Marshall, has joined League One side Walsall.
Marshall, who had spells with Blackpool and Port Vale in the Football League, played the second half of last season with Aberdeen.
Manchester-born Marshall is a graduate of the youth set-up at Eastlands, but joined the Dons in January after finding himself ignored by ridiculous-spending City.
He had a decent debut at Tannadice, with some Aberdeen-Mad messageboard regulars claiming they'd seen the new Gordon Strachan through post-Hogmanay goggles.
However, the rest of Marshall's stay at Pittodrie was a disappointment, and he leaves with the best wishes of the supporters but no dismay.
He said: “I have already played at a good standard in the Scottish Premier League and the Championship plus I’ve been to the World Cup with England Under-20s, so I’m looking forward to the challenge that League One will present.”
