MARK Kerr has finalised his move to Aberdeen after completing a medical.
The former Dundee Utd, Falkirk and Championship Manager 4 midfield starlet had his first training session with his new team-mates today, and could be set for a dream debut against Champions League holders Manchester United on Saturday.
Kerr spoke to many English clubs during the past month, but as none of them were likely to be playing Man U in the foreseeable future he plumped for Pittodrie.
Kerr told RedTV: "I'm delighted I'm here now and I'm looking forward to playing.
"I felt like I was rushing into going down [to England] especially when a big club like Aberdeen are pursuing you and asking you to go up there.
"It's a big club and I felt that maybe I can bring something to Aberdeen. I know the league and I've been doing well this year."
Kerr met up with his new team-mates today, and will have seen a number of familiar faces including former United players Stuart Duff, Lee Miller and Lee Mair, and former Scotland under-21 midfield partner Gary MacDonald.
But despite being given Barry Nicholson's old number 8 for the coming season, Kerr says he doesn't yet know where Jimmy's infamous tombola will have him playing.
He said: "I don'y know yet, it was just my first training session this morning. I played mainly in a sitting role last season but have also got forward. But whatever the gaffer wants to do with me, we'll just see what happens."
