Clangers Called Up

DONS keeper Jamie Langfield has been called up to the Scotland squad for the World Cup qualifying double-header against Macedonia and Holland.

The goalie received the call following an injury to Rangers reserve keeper Neil Alexander, who took a slight knock in training but he remains part of the squad.

Langfield had lost his place in soon-to-be-replaced Scotland manager George Burley's squad following the return from injury of Craig Gordon.

Gordon was bewilderingly replaced in the squad by English lower-league player David Marshall, who had a catastrophic competitive debut in last month's 4-0 defeat in Norway.

  • Do you want George Burley to stay as Scotland boss after the final two World Cup qualifying matches, regardless of the scores?
