DONS striker Chris Maguire was the goalscoring hero for Scotland's Under-21 side as they beat Albania 1-0 yesterday.
Maguire's matchwinning goal came with 15 minutes to go in the World Cup qualifying match at the Ruzhdi Bizhuta Stadium in Elbasan.
The youngster, who is the only Dons player to score a winning SPL goal since mid-January, turned the game around when he was introduced as substitute with about 20 minutes to go.
He latched onto a Paul Caddis pass and was hauled to the ground as he rounded the keeper, then had the confidence to get up and coolly slot home the spot kick.
Maguire's heroics completely overshadowed the U-21 debut of Rangers' John Fleck, who was brought on to waste some time with 10 minutes to go and had no impact whatsoever.
Scotland's Under-21s will now face Albania in the second game of the double-header at The Falkirk Stadium this Wednesday at 5.30pm.
