NEW Dons boss Mark McGhee has today completed his first signing for the club - former Norwich City goalkeeper Stuart Nelson.
The 27-year-old keeper put pen to paper on a one year deal after being made a free agent this summer following a year at Carrow Road.
The 6'1" stopper has previously played for Leyton Orient, Brentford and Doncaster Rovers, and will join the Dons as back-up to current Number 1 and Aberdeen-Mad Player of the Year, Jamie Langfield.
Despite the passing of the European deadline last Friday, AFC will be able to register Nelson tomorrow as a late wildcard registree.
Nelson told AFC official website RedWeb: "I am delighted to have signed for a club of the size and stature of Aberdeen.
"My agent received a call from Mark McGhee at the end of last week and it's great to have sorted out a contract so quickly.
"I'm already looking forward to meeting my new teammates and can't wait to see the club in European action this week."
