ABERDEEN fans group the Red Ultras are planning a huge display for the Dons' biggest match in a decade.

The Ultras are looking to create a sea of colour to help build up the atmosphere at the UEFA Cup Group B decider between Aberdeen and FC Copenhagen.

The game is certain to be a 22,000 sell-out, with phone lines jammed at Pittodrie yesterday with punters trying to grab the last few available tickets.

A Red Ultras spokesman said: "We hope to add to the atmosphere by producing a top class display to help inspire the team."

The group has been stretched financially due to a number of big displays so far this season.

As a result, they are looking for the help of the Red Army in two ways - people to help with the set-up of the display prior to the match and cash donations.

The spokesman continued: "All the displays are funded by donations and fundraising. If the fans can manage to make a donation, however small, it will make a big difference to what we will be able to produce.

"Displays would never be possible without the fantastic support and participation of all Aberdeen fans, in any way possible."
